Use the UCS Manager to create a new user co-ordinate system. Define the co-ordinate system in such a way so that its axes are oriented in the direction required for the orientation of the local co-ordinate system of the nodes.
Make sure that no entities are selected. If necessary, clear the selection.
Select the node (or nodes) where the local co-ordinate system should be applied.
In the property dialogue (that opens in the property window) tick option LCS.
The dialogue then offers a list of defined user co-ordinate systems.
Select the UCS that is adequate for the selected nodes. That means the UCS whose axes are oriented in direction of the intended local co-ordinate system of the node or nodes.
Clear the selection
