This function divides any plate onto two. The plate can be divided by a straight section.
1) Start function Divide surfaces (from toolbar Geometry manipulation or from menu Modify).
2) Select the plates (surfaces) to be divided.
3) Define the line (section) that cuts the existing plate(s).
4) End the function.
5) The plates are divided.
This function makes it possible to merge two already defined plates into one. The function handles all types of flat surfaces (not only those input through function 2D member > Plate).
1) Start function Join surfaces (from toolbar Geometry manipulation or from menu Modify).
2) Select the plates (surfaces) to merge.
3) End the function.
4) The plates are merged into one large plate (surface).
