The check of compression perpendicular to the grain needs some additional data to be defined. It is possible to define specific parameter values for each individual member. These local settings overwrite the settings specified in Setup dialogues ("Parameters for design and check"). In addition, these member related data contain some parameters that are not included in the Setup dialogue.
Name
Name of the additional data.
Ignore check
When activated this check will not be taken into account
Contact length
Length of supports for check for compression perpendicular to the grain.
Contact width
Width of supports for check for compression perpendicular to the grain
Support condition
The support can be discrete or continuous.
Range
Specifies the range where the input additional data take effect. If the x-position for the additional data (see the Geometry group below) is set to e.g. 1 m and the range is set to let us say 20 mm, then the additional data in question are in fact defined 10 mm before and 10 mm after the x-position of 1 m.
