It is possible to define specific parameter values for each individual member. These local settings are called "member data" and they overwrite the settings specified in Setup dialogues ("Parameters for design and check").
Service class
Accounts for the effect of the moisture content on the strength and stiffness properties of timber and wood-based elements
Name
The name of the member data - well chosen name can help you make the work with the model more effective.
Section check only
If this option is checked, only the section check is carried out. No stability check is performed.
System strength
If ON, you may define the member strength multiplier (ksys) for situations when several equally spaced similar members, components or assemblies are laterally connected by a continuous load distribution system (EN 1995, article 6.6).
Field
Here you can define the span over which the member is checked. The part of the member that is not within the specified field is not checked at all.
For example, let us consider that the "Field" parameters are set to: Position = Rela(tive); From begin = 0.1; From end = 0.1. This means that 10% of the beam at its beginning and 10% of the beam at its end are skipped and not checked. Only the "interior" 80% of the beam are checked.
