Command

The previous chapter says about the procedure of calculation Design As for 2D members. Here the presentation possibilities are described. There is completely new item in the tree Concrete > Reinforcement design > 2D members > Reinforcement design (ULS+SLS).

Generally, there is a possibility to present four types of reinforcement. Nevertheless shear reinforcement is available only for "Required" and "Required (statically)" , because shear reinforcement is not supported for basic and additional reinforcement.

There is also standard command for 2D with the following items.

Loadcases, Combinations, Classes

There is possible to select loadcase, combination or classes in the command. Based on the selection the checkboxes for limit states are offered see Limit state condition part. Additionally, there is a new logic during preparation of internal forces for calculation based on combination type. It is not necessary to define all relevant SLS combinations (characteristic / frequent / quasi-permanent). It is good enough to define one of them and the others are automatically generated on the background. The information about that is stored in Standard or Detailed output.

Generally, there is used Characteristic combination for crack verification and quasi-permanent for crack width itself. Nevertheless some NA requires different combi type than Standard EN, typically NEN NA uses frequent combination for crack width calculation. All these NA dependencies are also included in design procedure.

General settings

Except typical general setting for command there are the following typical for 2D members

Required Required (statically) Required (additional) Provided

It is recommended to calculate provided reinforcement in Location - In centres because results are presented on centres of mesh elements as string (diameter / spacing in mm). This string results cannot be drawn when location in nodes or any averaging is used.

Provided

In case of checkbox "Consider user reinforcement" is switched on and this reinforcement is physically placed on the structure then Provided reinforcement represents also this User reinforcement.

Limit state condition

There is a new part related to selection of Limit state condition for design. This group consists of three checkboxes for selection.

All these checkboxes above are not always seen. The display of these items depends on the selection of load type as follows:.

Export to Allplan

There is a special action button Export reinf. to CAD program in this command. This export is available from version 19.0. The format of the file is version 1.0. After the export the ASF file is generated . This file includes information about:

When the Design As is calculated and you press this button program ask you where this file should be stored.

When the Design As is not calculated and you press this button program at first calculate Design As for existing setting of command and then ask you where this file should be stored.

There is dependency on Location settings. Export works without any message for Location type In Nodes, avg. and In Nodes, avg on macro. The following messages appear for other cases.

When the export is done then the message about number of created file is provided.

Export to ASF respects the actual selection of the 2D members.

In case of subregions the material and thickness of the main slab is exported .

Material of designed reinforcement is exported from Project dialogue or Concrete member data if exists.

Local rotation of the slab (LCS angle) is respected.

Type of exported reinforcement

The export to ASF file depends also on type of reinforcement selection:

The areas are exported based on selection:
