Calculation protocol

Definition

After any analysis in Scia engineer there is a functionality 'Calculation protocol' where it is possible to find basic information from the calculation. There are four basic types of protocol for linear, nonlinear, modal and stability analysis.

Where to find in ESA

This functionality is available after successful calculation in service 'Results' as item 'Calculation protocol'. 'Calculation protocol' is displayed as text output in Report preview window and it is possible to add it to Engineering report. In properties, it is necessary to select one of protocol and use action button 'Preview' for regeneration. Additionally, there is an option to 'include list of assumptions.' Selecting this option will display any relevant assumptions used in the calculation. These include any errors, warnings, or notes presented during the calculation.

List of Assumptions

The following table is an example of assumptions used during the calculation. A similar table may be shown in the preview for each type of calculation protocol when the option for 'Include list of assumptions' is turned on.
