Resultant of reactions

The Resultant of reactions command serves for displaying resultant of reaction on selected point or line supports in model.

Usage

  1. Calculate a FEM analysis of the model
  2. Go to Tree > Results > Supports > Resultant of reactions
  3. Set properties of the command to specify mainly:
    • selection of members where the results are evaluated
    • load type from which the results are derived
    • specific result value from the available list to be visualized
  4. Click on [Refresh] action button to display the results

Note: To get general overview about how to work with Result service and its commands, see Results/Basics.

See "Filter"
Result case Type of load

Load case / Combinations / Classes / Nonlinear combinations / Mass combinations / Stability combinations

Defines for what load the results are displayed.

See"Result case"

Extreme Extreme

Global/ Member

Defines the position where extremes of result value are evaluated. Member is available only if checkbox Separate members is ON.

Values

Rx / Ry / Rz / Mx / My / Mz / Components

See table Values below.

Components : possibility to choose more than one value and display them together in 3D window. Only selected values will be displayed in result tables.

System

Global / Rotated supports

Sets a coordination system which is used as referenced for displaying the results. Rotated supports is available only if checkbox Separate members is ON.

Separate members

On / Off

Displaying resultants on members, not one global resultant.

Envelopes drawing

0 to extreme / min to max

Envelopes may be drawn to show both minimal and maximal value of resultants in each direction. If the minimal value of resultant is not required, setting 0-extreme shows only absolute extreme in each direction.
