Adjusting the buckling group settings

The procedure for adjustment of buckling group settings for a particular member
  1. In the graphical window, select the 1D member (or members) whose buckling settings should be modified.

  2. The 1D member properties are displayed in the Property window.

  3. In the table cell named System lengths and buckling settings use the combo box to select the required Buckling group.

  4. If the required Buckling length definition has not been defined yet, use the button at the right hand side of the cell to create a new Buckling length definition.

  5. Adjust the required parameters.

  6. Confirm with [Save].

Note: When the Buckling length manager(= combo box next to the 1D-member property System lengths and buckling settings) is opened, it displays ONLY those buckling length definitions that correspond to conditions of the selected 1D member(s). If e.g. a 1D member with one buckling segment is selected, the manager hides any buckling length system for more then one segment.
