Adjusting the buckling group settings
The procedure for adjustment of buckling group settings for a particular member
-
In the graphical window, select the 1D member (or members) whose buckling settings should be modified.
-
The 1D member properties are displayed in the Property window.
-
In the table cell named System lengths and buckling settings use the combo box to select the required Buckling group.
-
If the required Buckling length definition has not been defined yet, use the button at the right hand side of the cell to create a new Buckling length definition.
-
Adjust the required parameters.
-
Confirm with [Save].
Note: When the Buckling length manager(= combo box next to the 1D-member property System lengths and buckling settings) is opened, it displays ONLY those buckling length definitions that correspond to conditions of the selected 1D member(s). If e.g. a 1D member with one buckling segment is selected, the manager hides any buckling length system for more then one segment.
