Preloaded bolts

The design shear resistance of a connection is calculated according to EN 1993-1-8 Art 6.2.2 assuming the bolt resistance F_s,Rd and all bolt are not sustained to tension due to the preload.

The design shear force resistance of a joint V_Rd is thus calculated as:

Fs,Rd	design slip resistance of a bolt calculated according to to EN 1993-1-8 Art 3.9.1 or 3.9.2.
ntot	total number of bolts
