Defining a normal continuous beam

As an example, we will create here a model of a three-span continuous beam. The model will be then parameterised and saved as parameterised template.

Using standard SCIA Engineer functions let’s create a model of a three-span continuous beam with fully fixed supports. Be careful to position the first node into the origin of the global co-ordinate system (the geometric parameters that will be defined later in this example assume this location of the beam). Make also sure that the beam will be parallel to the global X-axis.

Let’s create four load cases load:

Let’s define load for load classes 2, 3, 4.
