Mechanical reinforcement ratio - design
Mechanical reinforcement ratio depends on required or provided reinforcement. For design area of reinforcement is calculated from designed required and provided reinforcement. The mechanical reinforcement ratio is calculated according to formula below. The mechanical reinforcement can be different along whole length of the column and in each section of the member and it is calculated according to formula below
ω = ∑(As,i ∙ fyd) / (Ac ∙ fcd)
where
As,i | cross-sectional area of i-th reinforcement in the cross-section of current section calculated from required or provided reinforcement |
fyd | design yield strength of reinforcement loaded from Project setting or concrete member data, if are defined |
Ac | cross-sectional area of concrete cross-section |
fcd | design value of concrete compressive strength |
The coefficient B is than calculated according to formula:
B = √(1 + 2 ∙ ω)
