Westok Cellbeam link

This link between SCIA Engineer and Westok Cellbeam application allows to make a better cellular beams design. The link is bi-directional. The analysed model inSCIA Engineer is sent to Westok Cellbeam to finished the proper analyse of cellular beams and optimised the beam parameters based on internal forces. When the optimal design is done it is possible to update the cellular beam parameters back to original SCIA Engineer model.

The link is available only for EC-EN with British and Irish national annexes.The model has to be calculated first. Without results the link could not be used. If all prerequisites are fulfilled then the function Westok cellular beam design in the Steel service or Composite service can be used.

 

Export to Westok

Westok cellular beam design allows to export all or selected member to Westok Cellbeam.

Type of selection	Defines if all members or only selected members are exported. Selection can be defined as Current, Advanced, Named selection, Design group
Filter	There can be set filter by Cross-section, Material, Wildcard, Layer or Type of beam.

 

For export of the model press the action button Export to Westok.

A dialog with further options appears. For explanation of items on this dialog please go to the Help - Manual EC or Manual BS.

Use the button Transfer data from SCIA Engineer to Westok Cellbeam.

The exported model can be directly opened in Westok Cellbeam or saved into Westok Cellbeam file format. Also there is possible to see log file where is basic info about what was exported.

 

Import from Westok

For update of the original model with the optimised parameters from Westok Cellbeam application use the action button Import from Westok. The Open dialog appears. Select the corresponding file to the model which has to be updated.
