Detailing checks
In addition to strength and serviceability checks, checks for the detailing conditions are performed in the composite beam module and shown in the "Standard" and "Detailed" outputs. With the exception of the items marked Yes in column "Detailing check", the detailing checks are not included in the final "UC" result value and are not considered in the auto-design of the member.
Detailing check requirements are given either by the EN 1994-1-1 or by geometry. The complete list of these checks may be seen below:
- Height of sheeting rib does not exceed height of the slab. (-)
- Height of steel sheeting rib with dovetail does not exceed height of the slab. (-)
- Reinforcement position does not interfere with steel sheeting rib. (-)
- Minimum space for placing studs in transverse direction. (-)
- Minimum thickness of steel sheeting. (3.5 (2))
- Minimum concrete cover of connectors. (6.6.5.2 (2))
- Height of studs does not exceed height of the slab. (6.6.5.2 (3))
- Maximum spacing of studs in longitudinal direction. (6.6.5.5 (3))
- Maximum spacing of studs considering sheeting geometry. (-)
- Minimum distance from stud to the edge of flange of steel beam. (6.6.5.6 (2))
- Minimum height of studs. (6.6.5.7 (1))
- Minimum spacing of studs in transverse direction. ( 6.6.5.7 (4))
- Minimum spacing of studs in longitudinal direction. (6.6.5.7 (4))
- Maximum stud diameter in relation to flange of steel beam. (6.6.5.7 (5))
- Extension of stud height above height of steel sheeting. (6.6.5.8 (1))
- Minimum width of steel sheeting rib. (6.6.5.8 (2))
