Plan view generated by storeys

The storey tool creates storey levels in the model. It is displayed as simple lines with labels.

See the chapter about storeys here.

The storeys can be used for automatic generation of plane sections. The plan section can be generated for each level of the storeys.

The size of this plane section is controlled by the storey allocation. Entities which are not in the storey allocation are excluded. The plan section boundaries are created around allocated entities and those which are not allocated may be placed outside.

Storey-to-Plan view manager

The dialogue for storey selection is available in the Drawing tools. It is visible when the storey object is created.

Left part of the manager contains the list of existing storey levels in the project. Each level has checkbox which indicates if the plan view should be generated or not. Plan view is generated automatically after the closing the dialogue.

Right part displays the plan view properties.

Plan view properties

The content of the properties is dependent on the functionality Automated GA drawings.

Section type of the plan view generated according to the storey is “Plan view – storey”.

Plan view also generates its specific description in the property dialogue. It is composed from two parts. The first is the name of the storey and the second is the storey height.

The rest of the properties are the same as for the manually defined plan section entity.

Size of generated plan view

Each storey level has its allocation. It can be found in the storey properties.

Those members define size of the generated plan view.

A bounding box is created around them; it is always a rectangle or square.

Linegrid projection is excluded from the definition of the geometry. Only the structure defines sizes of the polygon.
