Harmonic damping type - constant damping
When the constant damping is selected, the same uniform value of the damping ratio is considered for all the frequencies.
For the constant damping, the dimensionless damping ratio (or also known as the damping factor) needs to be defined (input in %). It is denoted as "zeta", Greek letter ζ.
Note: The relation between the logarithmic decrement and the damping ratio is expressed in the equations below.
