Simple inclination

Simple inclination is a special type of the "Inclination functions" type of global geometrical imperfection .

The initial geometrical imperfections (dx and dy) in this case are always dependent on the z-coordinate.

Example of imperfection is provided in the figure below, where the dx = 5 mm/m and dy = 10 mm/m. Internally this is considered by a table of values, where dx and dy are defined for 3 z-coordinates (-1000, 0 and 1000 meters). Linear interpolation is always considered for the values between. However, no extrapolation is considered. Hence, if the structure uppermost point is at z level of 1001 meters, the imperfection in y-direction is 10 meters, and in x-direction 5 meters. Analogically with the negative z-coordinate.
