Material types
In SCIA Engineer the user may select from the following material types:

Represents material based on a particular national code for materials |

Steel |
Represents material based on a particular national code for materials |

Timber |
Represents material based on a particular national code for materials |
| Masonry | Represents material based on a particular national code for materials |
| Aluminium | Represents material based on a particular national code for materials |

Other |
Enables the user to define an arbitrary material that is completely independent on codes assigned to the project |
Note: The properties of a code-based materials can also be edited by the user.
