Material modification & Material modification groups
If the Functionality Construction stages and Material modification is switched ON in project data then the following new items are available:
- Material modifications
- Material modification groups
Material modifications
If you click on Material modification then the following dialogue is opened.
with the following items:
- Name - user name of material modification
- Description
- Material - link to material library of Concrete
- Original E modulus - E- modulus loaded from material database - Eorig
- E modulus correction factor - multiplication of original E modulus factorE
- E modulus after correction final value of E modulus after correction (Eorigx factorE)
Then you can prepare as many material modifications as you need. See the following example, which is more less the equivalent to old E-modulus functionality input from 32 bit branch.
Material modification groups
Once the Material modifications are pre-defined then those can be assigned to Material modification group. There could be one or more material modifications in one material modification group. This example could demonstrate the ageing of elements all built in the same sequence.
This could lead to the following stage scheme
| Stage | Beams (E correction factor) | Global (days) |
Local (days) |
| Stage 1 | 0,1 | 0 | 0 |
| Stage 2 | 0,4 | 4 | 4 |
| Stage 3 | 0,6 | 8 | 8 |
| Stage 4 | 0,8 | 16 | 16 |
| Stage 5 | 1,0 | 28 | 28 |
| Stage 6 |
1,1 |
365 | 365 |
| Stage 7 | 1,15 | 18250 | 18250 |
Nevertheless it can be used also for members which are built in the different stages. Lets consider the same local ageing as above but columns are from (C20/25) and bridge deck is from (C25/30). Then assume the beams are added into structure in Stage 5 when the columns are already in 28days of ageing. The preparation of Material modifications is bit different for the following case
This leads to the following stages scheme. Of course to be really precise we need to make a separate material modifications also for Columns in stages 7-10
| Stage | Columns (E correction factor) | Beams (E correction factor) | Global (days) | Local (beams) (days) | Local (Columns) (days) |
| Stage 1 | 0,1 | 0 | 0 | ||
| Stage 2 | 0,4 | 4 | 4 | ||
| Stage 3 | 0,6 | 8 | 8 | ||
| Stage 4 | 0,8 | 16 | 16 | ||
| Stage 5 | 1,0 | 0,1 | 28 | 28 | 0,1 |
| Stage 6 |
1,1 |
0,4 | 32 | 28 | 4 |
| Stage 7 | 1,1 | 0,6 | 36 | 28 | 8 |
| Stage 8 | 1,1 | 0,8 | 42 | 28 | 16 |
| Stage 9 | 1,1 | 1,0 | 56 | 28 | 28 |
| Stage 10 | 1,1 | 1,1 | 365 | 365 | 365 |
| Stage 11 | 1,15 | 1,15 | 18250 | 18250 | 18250 |
and the following items are added together in Material modification groups for such case.
| MMG - Stage | MM-C20/25-Columns | MM-C25/30-Beams |
