Theoretical background

The calculation procedure of code dependent deflection can be described in the following steps:

• a special combinations on the background for calculation code dependent deflection is generated, see "Combination for CDD"
• required or provided reinforcement for selected load case/combination/class is calculated, if it is not calculated and this type of reinforcement is selected. The area of reinforcement, which is used for calculation of stiffness is recalculated by the coefficient for increasing amount of reinforcement, see "Coefficient for increasing amount of reinforcement"
• nonlinear stiffnesses of 1D members from the selection for each dangerous combination is calculated, see "Calculation stiffness of 1D element"
• nonlinear stiffnesses of 2D members from the selection for each dangerous combination is calculated, see "Calculation stiffness of 2D element"the stiffness of the rib is calculated depending on check box Rib, see "Calculation stiffness of the rib"

• program runs FEM analysis for each dangerous combination and for each type of stiffness (for each combination FEM analysis runs 4 times); for each run, nonlinear stiffness values are used and stiffness and deflection of 1D members and 2D members (values u_x,u_y,u_z) are calculated
• program calculates all type of deflections (short, total, immediate....) , see "Calculation of deflection"
• program calculates maximal value of deflection for 1D and 2D elements, see "Calculation maximal deflection "
