What is new in release 2013.1

This chapter contains overview of added features in release 2013.1. For further detailed information please see particular chapters.

Changes in working with tables

Narrow and long tables can be split into more columns. The feature is by default switched for some tables (e.d. table with structural nodes). user can switch it manually ON/OFF in table layout editor.

Different values within one table record can be now divided by the line which makes output more understandable. The line can be modified or switched OFF in the setting of style.

Changes in working with pictures

It is possible to generate automatically repeating pictures (chaptermaker). Repeating pictures can be generated using the same logic which was available in old document.

Zoom all functionality is available using "Automatic scale to fit size" property.

Editing of picture size is available directly from Engineering Report.

Rendering of pictures was unified with rendering of pictures in SCIA Engineer.

Optimisation of pictures:

• Content of pictures is currently generated using graphic card which significantly reduced time needed for their displaying (especially for bigger structures).
• Smaller package of picture data is now send from SCIA Engineer to Engineering Report.

General changes

User has more freedom in placing of report items:

Direct export to RTF file is available.

Memory consumption during opening of existing reports was significantly reduced.

Preview of Formatted text during its editing is available.

Support of Single checks was extended. Now majority of them can be sent to Engineering Report.

Undo / Redo is available since version 2013.1.
